Membership Membership Categories and Requirements:
The professional membership grades are based mainly on experience and exposure to key concepts, principle, theories of, Behavioral Analysis, applied psychology and Management. The appropriate educational background may be BSc/HND in a field related to Behavioral Analysis, Behavioral Psychology, Applied Psychology, Managerial Psychology or in pursuit of which one has taken course relevant to Behavioral Analysis, applied psychology and Management or the final examination of appropriate professional bodies and or other relevant courses. Intending members with lesser qualification but with good managerial experience will be given considerations.
The institute offer honorary and professional membership in the following grades
- Fellow FBAM
- Associate Fellow AFBAM
- Full Member MBAM
- Licentiate Member LBAM
- Affiliated Graduate GBAM
- Student Member
- Corporate Member CBAM
Membership requirements Fellow:
1. by express application: an individual willing to be honoured with the fellowship of the institute, may do so by presenting a letter of intent to the Institute and upon approval of the Board of governing Council of the institute, shall be inducted into the fellowship of the Institute.
2, by nomination: The Institute’s Fellowship is also awarded to those who best represent the Institute’s ideals for its members and for society at large via their professional and personal accomplishments.
An applicant for Associate fellowship of the institute must satisfy at least two of the following conditions; that is, he/she
1, has a minimum of 15years experience in any Management, Behavioral Analysis or Psychology.
2, occupies an executive management position in his/her organization
3, has been a graduate from a recognized Institution or professional body for a period not less than 15years
4, has been a senior member of the institute for at least two years and has undergone a compulsory membership upgrade training.
5, has attended at least 3 mandatory continuing professional training within the las 2 years
An applicant for full member of the institute must satisfy at least two of the following conditions; that is, he/she
1, has a minimum of 10 years experience in any Management, Behavioral Analysis or Psychology.
2, occupies an executive management position in his/her organization
3, has been a graduate from a recognized Institution or professional body for a period not less than 10 years
4, has been a licentiate member of the institute for at least five years and has undergone a compulsory membership upgrade training.
5, has attended at least 3 mandatory continuing professional training within the las 2 years
An applicant for licentiate membership of the institute must satisfy at least two of the following conditions; that is, he/she
1, has a minimum of 5 years experience in any Management, Behavioral Analysis or Psychology.
2, occupies an executive management position in his/her organization
3, has been a graduate from a recognized Institution or professional body for a period not less than 5 years
4, has been an affiliated graduate member of the institute for at least three years and has undergone a compulsory membership upgrade training.
5, has attended at least 3 mandatory continuing professional training within the las 2 years
Affiliated Graduate member:
An applicant for Affiliated Graduate member must be a graduate of any recognized institution of higher learning or a professional body for not less than 2years
